Outstanding undergrads interested in a career in biomedical research are selected to participate in the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF). For 10 weeks each summer, students from across the nation immerse in the research and culture of a major medical center. As part of the longstanding partnership with Illinois, Mayo Clinic reserves up to seven of these prestigious fellowships for University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign students.
Baxter and Murugesh are part of the CCIL Cancer Scholars Program, and Louis is a member of the CCIL Student Organization.
