Brendan Harley, Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and CCIL Program Leader, is studying neurodegenerative disease models with the Director’s Innovation Fund and further support from the NCI. The DIF was initiated by alumnus Scott Fisher to honor his late wife Bonita J. Fisher and support multiple sclerosis research.

“The funding allowed us to gather the preliminary data we needed to show that we could adapt the biomaterials we are developing to study brain cancer in order to investigate processes related to neurodegeneration,” said Harley. Read more about the research.
