Cancer research is becoming more reliant on data, computing, software, and visualization. The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) and the Cancer Center teamed up to discuss these issues on March 14, 2018. NCSA is a hub of transdisciplinary research and digital scholarship where collaborators are able to unite to address grand research challenges like cancer. The workshop explored ways to address computing and data challenges, as well as discuss collaborative opportunities for scientists, engineers, and scholars. Brief talks were given by both Cancer Center and NCSA representatives.
