Illinois students and alumni have banded together to bicycle across the country raising money and awareness for cancer research. This year, the Illini 4000 will begin in New York City on May 22nd and end in San Francisco, CA on Aug. 8th. The team, biking to show their support for cancer patients, has raised nearly 40% of its $125,000 goal. The Illini 4000 will ride through Champaign-Urbana in June, making a stop on the University of Illinois’ campus.
