Research
Yang Zhao is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Yang’s research focuses on bionanophotonics: inspired by nature, her team develops biomimetic metamaterials and devices to manipulate electromagnetic and acoustic waves. Her team is also passionate about using light and sound to image, sense, and manipulate molecules and molecular interactions. Visit her research group’s website for more information.
