Sarah Adams

Sarah Adams is an Office Administrator in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine at the University of Illinois and an active member of the Cancer Research Advocacy Group. Sarah began her role as a survivor advocate following her own breast cancer diagnosis in May 2013. She is a 2017 graduate of the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s Project LEAD Institute and currently serves as a consumer reviewer on the Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program Breast Cancer Research Program. Sarah supports a variety of cancer research initiatives by serving on patient advisory panels, providing letters of support for grant funding, and volunteers her time with a few breast cancer support organizations. The Cancer Research Advocacy Group has fueled her passion by promoting a collective patient perspective through innovative, accessible, evidence-based, and patient-centered research.
