Research Focus

Patrick Sweeney’s research focuses on understanding how the brain responds to cancer. Our work is particularly interested in understanding the brain pathways mediating anorexia and visceral malaise during cancer progression and cancer treatments. Ultimately, our goal is to develop novel therapeutic strategies for treating cancer-associated anorexia, malaise, and muscle loss. Learn more about Patrick Sweeney’s lab.
