Cheryl Casimiro is the Business and Finance Coordinator for the Cancer Center at Illinois. She joined the university in August 2008, working in the Card Services department where she was responsible for managing the University-wide Purchasing and Travel Card program. She further enhanced her knowledge of university business operations when she joined the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) as a Grants and Contracts Coordinator. At NCSA, she worked closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with state and federal policies and regulations, monitored sponsored project timelines and budgets, managed State, ICR, Gift, and Service accounts, and supported NCSA staff members.
Cheryl has a B.A. in Psychology, focusing on Personnel Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Outside of her professional life, Cheryl finds joy in spending quality time with her family, exploring new destinations through travel, and watching movies and TV series. These personal interests reflect her well-rounded personality and her ability to find balance in life.
