Phuong Le, Bioengineering PhD, and former CCIL TiMe student and member of Associate Professor Andrew Smith‘s lab was recently awarded a Schmidt Science Fellowship. Awardees receive a $100,000 stipend towards a postdoctoral position in a world-renowned laboratory.
Le is the second awardee from Illinois and will be focusing on identifying early markers and the progression for neurodegenerative diseases.
