The Das Laboratory of Lipid Metabolism at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, has an opening for one full-time research technician/ laboratory research manager position that is to be filled immediately.

Research involves standard biochemistry techniques such as protein purification, molecular biology techniques including PCR and mammalian tissue culture. Work 40 hours per week at an hourly rate to $16-$20 (depending on qualifications).

Requires a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biology, or a science-related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
Research experience in biochemistry is strongly preferred but can train in the techniques that will be used. Chemistry applicants will be trained in biochemistry techniques.
