Students at Beckman and Engineering Open House

The TiMe Cohort partnered with ENgineers Volunteering In STEM EducatION (ENVISION), a graduate student led outreach group, to participate in the 2019 Beckman Institute Open House. At this event, which was held in conjunction with the 2019 Engineering Open House on March 8-9, TiMe students taught visitors of all ages about 3D printing, using 3D pens and a poster highlighting the use of 3D printing in research across campus. Visitors to the exhibit enjoyed making unique designs with the 3D pens, and the event provided TiMe students a great opportunity to discuss their research with the public in a fun, informal setting, and to get everyone excited about the tissue microenvironment.
